Best & Worst Grocery Stores
Stores You Love ... and Hate!
For the third time, we asked you, our AOL users, to tell us which grocery stores bring you pleasure ... and which bring you pain. And your responses surprised us! We expected the message boards to be teeming with stores that drive you crazy. And there was some of that, but as it turns out, there also seems to be many great supermarkets out there.Click through our gallery as we highlight 10 stores you detest and 10 you adore.

I hate the monopoly that KROGER has in Ohio - they are sooo expensive - how can anyone afford to buy there? And their ground meat is disgusting with boney pieces & purple bits - someone told me they whip the beef carcass around & around cutting off any usable meat & that's what causes it! GROSS

In the New England area the best is Demoula's Market Basket. Good prices, and fresh produce abound. Though it can be a bit crowded, well worth the trip. The worst is Johnny's Foodmaster. Expensive, lack of healthy food, rats running around the store, feces on the walls in the bathroom, and produce that I would throw out if it were in my refrigerator. This place should be closed by the dept. of Health.

After living in Delaware for 30+ years, I hated to leave my Shop Rite. It was the greatest place to shop (concord pike). But now that I have moved, I have found Publix and Kroger locally and they are great as well. Publix over Kroger for now, but Kroger is creeping up on my Fav list. Loved ya, ShopRite!!! I know you'll never find your way down this far but if you ever do, i'll be there for your grand opening!!!
