People have forgotten what Christmas is all about. My kids stop getting gifts when my oldest turned twelve. They decided it was more fun to help others for the holidays. They are adults now, and still carry on that tradition. I'm very proud of my three children. tHey know the true meaning of giving. Merry Christmas Everyone!

"Black Friday"? Goodness stay home, people are crazy!!!! They rush, push, step on, shove, grab. It makes Americans look like animals. Shame on the retailers for doing such a God awful tradition. I remember years ago where it was fun to get up the day after Thanksgiving and go shopping early. My daughter and I and neighbors need a day of it. But NO WAY now. It is a bunch of animals. The last time we went a lady grabbed a item out my hand, knocked my daughter into a display. I said NEVER again. The saddest and sickest thing of all is these retailers only have a few of these "great sale" items. Kohls is famous for that. Even their "best" sales during the year they may only have 3 to 4 items to sell. A store clerk told me that. I know times are really tuff , our Christmas is very lean this year but I will not subject myself or family to the torture. What was once a fun and great time to shop has turned into a stampede , where if you all remember Walmarts can turn into injury or worse. Such a shame!!!

guys..let's all remember it is Christmas..the celebration of the birth of our savior. We make sure all our kids understand what the day means. The gifts are just a bonus.
For all getting depressed over the materialistic side of Christmas.. instead of being depressed, keep in mind your families know your situation, and be in a good mood while around them.. THAT is what the day is about.
Kids don't understand.. but ..there is always the dollar store. In our huge family, we tell the young people..go to the dollar store, but put some thought in the gift.
One niece has no money at all.. so she's making dvd's of cartoons to give the kids. she's baking brownies for the adults. It works. It's the thought that counts.
