Black Friday Deals
Fire Sales or Empty Shelves?
Retailers have had all year to plan for the holiday shopping season -- and you can bet this year's Black Friday deals will be major. However, you'll have to act fast. Supplies will be in limited quantities.Expect some of the biggest deals on TVs, videos, toys and home decor, all categories retailers expect to see strong demand. Overall, though, stores are keeping inventories lean and going deep only in categories they believe will appeal to economically-stressed consumers. That makes doorbusters -- those early morning sales -- all the more important this year for shoppers looking to find the best deals.
