well, if the population is MOSTLY black, who do you think is doing all the killing, raping, robbery, and assaulting....obviously the majority of the criminals are going to be black. If the majority of these cities were populated with whiteys, i'd be saying the same thing about them. It's not racism or prejudice; it's called correlation, learn it.

I don't understand why blacks have such bad reputations. Just because the cities that have a mostly black population are the most violent and have the most crime does not mean anything. shame on you white folk!

They do not list the demographics because some races will think this is profiling. Just like the goverment will not pub IQ levels by race.

Detroit # 3 ten years from now when the crime has saturated the big cities. The medium sized cities will be on this list. If we do not get a lid on this and stop turning the blind eye because its not in my city, you will become a victim remember crime has no boundaries..

Finally a lot of clarity. It seems to me that the people here in Memphis and in the suburbs who I classify as "haters" used these worthless rankings to bash this city. Every year Godwin makes the same point about the way we report crime. Every day one can read the FBI's dsiclaimer and admonishments about using their data to rank cities. This mess does all cities a disservice. Forbes and CQ need to find something else to do with their ink.
A spokesman for CQ said that the FBI's stats are the beat CQ can do. He admits this is not perfect. Well, if it ain't perfect, do not **********.
