Why doesn't Trump do something for the thousands of poor who live a stones throw away from his casinos in Atlantic City? Poor who are made more poor by gambling at his businesses with the slim hope to perhaps get out of poverty.

This raises a good question. Why didn't johnny carson help ed save his house?

RUBICONSKI 01:45:18 PM Aug 16 2008

ok my source says he wants to retract his statements about the dirt on Trump, after receiving threats. oh, and he also wants to say that he is not johnny carson.

I have it from a good source that McMahon has some very dirty dirt on Trump, and threatened to go public with it unless he coughed up 5 million. My source wishes to remain anonymous, but when he finally comes out about it, everyone will say....Hereeeeeeres Johnny !!

What a nice gesture! Amazing, though, that the 4.8 million Trump is paying for the house (I assume, although the article doesn't actually say), he could buy about 15 nice homes in San Bernardino County, about an hour away from Hollywood, and put up McMahon as well as 14 other seniors or families about to lose their homes as well. But, the fact that it's actually on AOL means that Trump is using this as a publicity stunt. "I saved Ed McMahon!" he can boast. And everyone claps. I guess 4.8 million is pretty cheap for that kind of publicity that puts you in a positive light with the public.

I like the The Donald. He is a smart dude. Of course he is going to buy the house and rent it out. He is a business man. Why would he buy the house and just give it to Ed? He knows that Ed is very old and that Ed has a horrible wife. If he gives the house to Ed and Ed dies it probably goes to the witch. So, instead, keep the home out of foreclosure and let Ed live out his days in it (he will probably be very reasonable with the rent charge). Then when Ed passes, this home that is now $4.6 million will probably be back up to $7 million. Genius plan, do something nice for an old icon and at the same time make a huge investment.

If this were truly a random act of kindness he would not have announced it to the world. He also would let him live rent free.

God Bless Donald Trump!

If Trump owns the house and rents it out to McMahon, the rent may only be $1.00 per month, or some other nominal amount. Plus, the renter would not have to pay real estate taxes because he is not the owner. This would permit McMahon to regain his financial balance, while still living in his home. Trump paying off the debt for McMahon would negate this possibility. I wish I could do this for some people I know.
