Unless you don't read others' blogs, you may have noted my previous comments that stated 'Wisconsin would be the safest state in the nation if it wasn't for Milwaukee'..... and Milwaukee isn't even a high-crime city. But, Milwaukee has the only high ratio of blacks vs. whites and almost all the crime is on the near northwest-side area and it's black on black.
I agree that crime has nothing to do with skin color, so let's call them African-American males - they are the hoods of America. The stats don't lie. The states with the fewest minorities have the least crime. Not even whites can afford to live in Maine, Vermont and Connecitcut. No one, except me, would want to live in South Dakota. In fact, I should look into that, especially if people aren't so close-knit that you can't even get to know them, like where I live in Oshkosh, WI. Do you want to live in obscurity? Move where I live. No one will pay attention to you. Die? You won't be found for days, until the neighbors smell your body.
Are you like that in South Dakota? When a new person moves in do you bring them cookies or a beer? The Black Hills are beautiful but if the people aren't I'll just stay here, die and not be located until a week later. No one looks out for anyone here unless you're part of the 'clan' or the 'family.'
