Signing up for an e-mail list is probably not at the top of your to-do list. But this one gets you access to exclusive coupons, samples, and discounts for Proctor and Gamble products.

And the thing is, Proctor and Gamble makes a lot of stuff, like products by Olay, Covergirl, NyQuil, Pepto-Bismol and Gillette. Joining is easy.

The e-mail list is run by VocalPoint, which collects feedback from moms through short surveys and focus groups, sometimes for pay. You'll receive a weekly e-mail with info about P&G new products and what other moms are saying. Occasionally you'll get free samples to test out.

If you don't have kids you may not be accepted -- I wasn't. But it's worth a shot if you are a mom and want to get some freebies.

Still buying Christmas presents? Guilty as charged! Well today, Dec. 17, is the last day to get free standard shipping from a ton of major retailers and still have your gift arrive by Christmas Eve.

The website FreeShipping.org has corralled more than 700 merchants to offer free shipping today, Dec. 17. See the list of participants.

WalletPop's very own Josh Smith shared all the details about the "perfect shopping event for procrastinators" a few weeks ago. With all the publicity, soon "free shipping day" will join the ranks of cheesy pre-holiday events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now go forth and ship!

I used Go Go on a flight recently and it was awesome! The connection was as fast as my home cable connection, though it did cut out twice on a 5-hour flight. Not bad for e-mailing at 35,000 feet.

Get a free album of 20 holiday songs from iTunes. The mix includes songs by Weezer, Stephen Colbert, Sarah McLachlan, Barry Manilow, Mannheim Steamroller, Charlotte Church, and Aretha Franklin, among others.

Songs include "Baby, It's Cold Outside," "Silent Night," and "Angels We Have Heard on High."

Get an overview of the album, then click on "view in iTunes" to see the artists, song titles, and to actually download the music. It takes a while to download all the music, so give it a few minutes.

If you miss the freebie, get a coupon from Coupons.com for $1 off a bag of the pita chips. It won't last long, though.

Megabus.com is offering 100,000 free seats for travel Jan. 6 to March 20, but you'd better be quick to grab one of the free tickets.

The free bookings begin today, and as I write this, it took me a few tries to get into the busy Megabus Web site.

A press release from Megabus says that the promo code GETAWAY will be needed to book the free seats, which are subject to availability.

Megabus is an intercity express bus that operates in the Northeast and Midwest. It also offers a limited number of $1 one-way tickets. Its double-decker buses include amenities such as free Wi-Fi, reclining seats, power outlets, on-board restrooms and more.

Get a free 5-pound box of clementines from Safeway on Dec. 8 when you become a fan of their Facebook page.

There are a couple of hoops to jump through to get the deal, which requires you spend a minimum of $25. The Clemintines usually cost about $5. If you already shop at Safeway, this is a good deal. If not, I wouldn't bother.

1. Become a fan of Safeway on Facebook (you'll have to join Facebook if you're not already on it).

2. On the Safeway fan page, click on the >> tab, then click Events.

3. Click on Free 5lb box of Clementines.

4. Look for a link in the third paragraph of the description and click on it.

5. Add the coupon to your Safeway club card (you have to have one to get the deal).

6. Shop on Dec. 8 to get the deal and remember to swipe your club card.

7. Check your receipt to make sure the price of the Clementines was deducted.
