Restaurant.com 70% off
Get discounted certificates to your favorite restaurants -- or give them as gifts -- through Restaurant.com. The online site usually sells a $25 certificate for $10, but with this 70% off code a $25 cert is just $3. Yowza! Use code GIVE, good through Nov. 22. Buy em now!
Caveats: each restaurant sets their own redemption rules and may require that the certificate be used on certain days or times. Also, the certs almost always exclude alcohol and have a minimum food tab required. Doesn't mean they aren't a good deal, you just have to find ones that work for you.
My (public) debut as a bargain shopper
Filed under: Shopping, Economizer, Bargain Babe
The thrill is in the bargain. Hunting it down, getting it in my sights and then moving in for the kill. I sharpened my elbows as a child in Daffy Dan's in New Jersey (mob aside, a reasonable state with no sales tax on clothing; are you listening California?) but have since refined my methods.
My current weapon of choice: coupons I find online. My trophy purchase mounted on the wall of my closet: a 100% cashmere sweater with the Sak's label still in it that I got for $5 at a thrift store in Malibu.
It was only a matter of time before my prowess reached the TV networks. I was asked by CNBC to take a camera crew along while I shopped. My terms: They don't get in my way.

Print the coupons here. Both expire on Sunday, Nov. 29. Find a Quiznos near you.

This is a good one folks. Get 20% off your entire purchase of sale items at the Gap now through Jan. 30, 2010. Wow! That means already reduced items are even more on sale. I'm digging this creamy double-breasted shawl cardigan for $40 (originally $60, on sale for $50, with coupon code $40).
For in store shopping, print the coupon here. Online use code GAP20. If you shop online look for a sale link at the very bottom of each section.

Here is a really good free shipping coupon from the Body Shop. Spend just $15 and get free shipping -- today only!Use coupon code MISTLETOE. Usually you have to spend $50 to get free shipping.
I hope this is a sign that the coupons are heating up as retailers compete for holiday shopping dollars.
I'm going to stock up on their seaweed moisturizer with SPF 15, which is $18. (A splurge, I know.) But otherwise I'm really bad about remembering to put on sunscreen everyday.
The Body Shop has lots of gifts under $15, including mini-body butters, shower gel, and body scrubs. I'm also a fan of their delicious smelling soaps.
Caveats: online only, cannot be combined with other discounts. Expires Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009. Unclear what time today the coupon expires, but let's home it's midnight.
