Pizza and restaurant coupons prove popular
Filed under: Bargains, Food, Economizer
RetailMeNot shoppers saved roughly $750,000 using the 24,000 printable coupons available for food in January, with 12,000 of those coupons just for pizza. Food coupons are so popular they took the No.1 spot in January, followed by searches for restaurant at No. 3, sit-down restaurants at No. 7 and dining coupons at No. 10.It's not just printable pizza coupons that are popular; RetailMeNot also has about 500 coupon codes for close to 90 pizza shops, including big names like Domino's, which was the No. 3 most-searched-for store in RetailMeNot's online coupon database; losing out only to Amazon and Victoria's Secret. Papa John's, my favorite chain pizza place, also made the list at No. 7.
For me, the best part about online ordering isn't avoiding being put on hold, it's that I can search for online coupons at my favorite pizza places and save without hanging onto flyers or looking in the local paper, which is really nice since I haven't had one delivered in four years.
If you order a pizza without a coupon, I guarantee you're spending too much. The average pizza shopper saved $6.29 at Papa John's, $8.13 at Domino's and $5.55 at Pizza Hut.
Current pizza coupons on RetailMeNot include;
- Free Cheese Bread from Papa John's
- Free large, one-topping pizza with the purchase of an extra large specialty pie from Papa John's
- 20% off your first online order at Pizza Hut
- Free sandwich with a large pizza purchase at Domino's

Coupon sites seem to be growing in popularity. Sometimes the deals seem too good to be true so its a good idea to check for a BBB accredidation. Sites such as www.cheaplocaldeals.com push out specials on a regular basis and can save you a lot of money. I wasn't sure how they were able to offer such great deals until I found out they do not charge the businesses for advertising and as such the business agrees to make an exceptional offer in exchange for the free markeiting. Great set up, and I Iike it.

Sally's Apizza on Wooster Street in New Haven, Connecticut doesn't do coupons. They ONLY do pizza and you'll have to wait outside to get in.... the best pizza in the U.S. and I've had pizza all over the world. There's nothing like an 80 year old oil fired brick oven to set the stage...

Coupon sites are growing in popularity. One such site is www.cheaplocaldeals.com . Sites like this offer incredible deals. I found out they give free advertising to businesses in exchange for posting an exceptional deal. Helps me to have a fortune. There are a few great ones but make sure the have a BBB accredidation (some of these sites seem a bit fishy).

It wouldn't matter if Papa John's was right next door to me, and they were giving free pizza, I wouldn't eat it. It's the worst pizza I ever had. Actually I did have coupon for free pizza there and I gave it to someone walking down the sidewalk.

Only get pizza from small Mom and Pop owner on site places, if a problem is handled there.
Plus better taste and hot when I pick it up or have it delivered.
I help my friends break the corporate food addiction

Great, if you don't mind that the soap arrives with little curly hairs on it.

How fortunate that so many people are even able to buy a pizza!
I wish that I could, but with the nutty craze of putting soy in almost every product on the market...read the ingredient lists on everything from tuna in water to lip balm and pizza, I can hardly find anything to eat at all. Can no longer travel, most restaurant food now contains soy products. There are millions of us out there who are either soy sensitive or allergic and frankly, I'm fed up (no pun intended) with having lost so many choices and freedoms in this Country. No one can tell me why there is soy in tuna packed in water, or in lip balm, except for it's being a cheap filler and can be used as a protein claim....or payback. So if anyone knows of a pizza that doesn't have soy flour or soy oil,
please let me know. Thank you.

I got a coupon for Domino's Pizza that got me 2 Large Specialty Pizzas for $10.00 each. They were loaded with big pieces of meat and lots of cheese. My friends still ask me where I got the Coupons? It's a great deal for a great Pizza!
