Cyber Monday: Expect it to come several times this year
Filed under: Shopping, Black Friday, Cyber Monday
Cyber Monday deals traditionally come once a year, the Monday after Thanksgiving, when online retailers cut prices to lure in workers who have returned to work but still need to get some shopping done. This year there will be plenty of Cyber Monday sales on Nov. 30, but according to the CEO of Coupon Craze, that's just the start of Cyber Monday deals this year.
By working with retailers and observing the online shopping trends, which show that online shopping jumps significantly on the Mondays leading up to Christmas, Christian Gordun, the Coupon Craze CEO, has come up with a list of additional Cyber Mondays and a Shipping Monday to keep in mind.
With this information in mind you can make better decisions about how long to wait for a deal this holiday season. Be sure to keep on the lookout for more Cyber Monday deals on WalletPop and explore our Black Friday deals to make sure you get the best sales this year.Nov. 30 (First Official Cyber Monday): The best day for shoppers who want to be able to check off all the items of their list. The main advantage is that shoppers will find a wide selection of products (including the "must-have" items) while getting a good discount.
Dec. 7 (Second Cyber Monday): The day retailers offer deeper discounts, but product selection begins to thin out. This is for middle-of-the road shoppers who have a general idea of what they want, but nothing specific inmind.
Dec. 14 (Third Cyber Monday): Risk-takers will be doing their holiday shopping on this date. The items they have to choose from are sparse, but the upside is the unbeatable savings they'll find.
Dec. 21 (Shipping Monday): Generally the last day a product can be shipped and arrive on time before the holidays. This is for the procrastinator – and bargain hunter – willing to trade off selection for the ultimate deal.

Thanks, Josh:
Your material is always helpful.
Do you think retailers will extend some of their successful promos through w-end?
What do you think biggest hit was -- laptop sub- $200? 50" inch Flatscreen HD TV sub $700?

I think the biggest hit was the 50" flatscreen because, to me, it offers more savings and value than a $200 laptop. In talking to friends and family thought there were many questions about laptops this year.
Savings will continue through the rest of the holiday season, but most Black Friday offers are one of and limited quantities so look for big discounts on higher end HDTV's this coming week and additional savings on Cyber Monday.
