Cash rebate deals on Black Friday

Have you ever shopped online through a "cash back" site? The main ones are ExtraBux, eBates, and Cashbaq.

The way it works is you register for free at one of these sites, then click through to the retailer of your choice. They track what you purchase and send you a check a few weeks later with a percentage of your purchase. The percentage back varies widely, from 1-50% back.

The cash back sites are gearing up for Black Friday with some pretty hot deals. Each site negotiates their own deal, so if you have a specific purchase in mind, compare the offers to get the biggest discount.

The best offers I saw were on Extrabux.com:

Get 30% off one item and 4% cash back at Ulta.com (a fabulous online beauty store) through Dec. 5.

Get 15% off all orders and 11% back at Shoes.com through Nov. 30.

Get $10 off orders of $80 or more plus free shipping and 12% cash back at FragranceNet.com through Dec. 15.

Get $15 off an order of $100 or more and 2% cash back at Cooking.com through Dec. 31.

I like Cashbaq.com because once you register or login, they display brand name offers by percentage back: 1-5%, 6-10%, 11-15%, etc.

Earn 50% back on Match.com, 25% on Restaurant.com, and 25% on Magazines.com. Plus, they have rebates for Skype, Harry and David, Sears, Borders, and more.

eBates promises a post-Thanksgiving sale "like no other" but has scant details to back it up. So you have to check back at 11:59 p.m. on Thanksgiving to find out their offers, while everyone else has announced them. Annoying!
