Zhu Zhu hunters be appraised, the first 100 people in line on Black Friday will each be given a ticket for the opportunity to purchase a Zhu Zhu Pet (with a limit of one per household). Toys R Us, said in a statement that 1000's of Zhu Zhu Pets will be arriving regularly throughout December.

We are 'CHRISTMAS' shoppers and have turned in our credit cards and will not shop at some of the stores who are against "CHRISTMAS" i.e. Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, CVS Pharmacy, Gap, HSN, Kroger, McDonalds, Office Depot, Olive Garden, Outback, Publix, Radio Shack, Staples, Victorias Secret. Marginal stores are Kohls, QVC, Safeway and Best Buy. Fellow believers, there are lots more who care and they will have our business.

Well that's very Christian of you. Jesus would be proud.

If you were true "Christ"mas shoppers, you donate it all to charity. Surely, your family and friends would understand.
I'm sure Jesus doesn't really care where little Timmy gets his ipod from.

I can assure you it is my passion to help as many people protect themselves especially during the holidays when people are trying to rob and steal the most. I created this website after the Virginia Tech shooting with the hopes of helping people protect themselves. I mean no harm......just trying to help. I support abused women shelters and yes I do leave comments at times to let people know that we offer protection products. I hope that nobody ever runs across a bad situation ever but if you do I truly hope you will have the proper protection which you can find on the website. I wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday!!

What the hell are you talking about? How are this stores against Christmas?

I guess in your eyes Hannukah and Kwanzaa should not be acknowledged by these stores. I will continue to wish people Happy Holidays because I respect everyones right to celebrate their own religion. Since I cannot tell by looking at someone what they celebrate I will not assume them to only be a Christian celebrating Christmas.

I have a problem with stores that do not allow there employees to say Merry Christmas. I don't think anybody should have to say it, but I don't think anybody should be told not to either.

It is crazy how blackfriday deals are an obvious playout of the
prisoner dilemma theory. i really wonder if they're going make more
money with less profit per purchase during the deal sweepstakes than
if they had just kept their prices the same. anyways i found this
site last year and they made shopping super easy because i didn't
have to leave my house and get caught in the walmart 6 am group and
got some great deals. it's http://www.2009blackfridayads.com. check
it out.

Marsha's comment is interesting-could she please explain more why those stores aren't in the Christmas spirit? More details would be helpful here.

They are said to be against Christmas because they choose to use Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. The Christians believe this season is all about thier holiday only. They forget about Kwanzaa and Hannukah.

Its funny that we are close to celebrating Jesus's Birthday by buying cheap toys built in a country (China) that not only is not Christain but does not tolerate religious freedom. The products made in China are often dangerous (Look at the recent Barbi article). At least try buying American if our spoiled American brats can't live without the garbage. As a electrician I built a Toys-our-us in Kansas. I can't remember anything being built in the U.S. I like Ang's suggestion, donate to charity. There are enough people hurting from alot of our jobs being sent overseas. Try buying your kids a Bible.

I think that this is probably one of the most reasonable and intelligent comments I've ever seen posted after an article like this. So many people just want to argue thank you for actually having a logical point.

Now, Now... let's not take our misguided religious beliefs out on the children. I am all for charity... but that is no reason to deny our children a little happiness at Christmas. I'm just gonna guess, Bob and Ang... that you don't have children. I think it's a wonderful idea that you want to give all your money to charity in lieu of the bibles you would be buying everyone for Christmas... BRAVO for you....

This holiday season we should donate the money we would spend on gifts to our local community centers. It is immoral and unpatriotic to spend this on ourselves. Yes We Can!

I am sure Jesus could not care less about christmas. It is not his birthday, never was and is just an old pagan holiday that the catholic church tried to christianize.
Jesus is not the reason for the season, greed is.
If somebody tells you to put Jesus back into christams, tell them....he was never there to begin with.

I am so glad that someone such as yourself has the guts to tell these people the real reason behind the season. After all of the deals and all of the "Black Friday" hooplah...I am sure that mortgages are still due, the rent, cable and utility bills as well. HUMMM!!!! which would I'd rather have? A 46 inch flat screen TV with a Wii system or a roof over my head? I'll take a nice cozy bed with the roof anytime. Thanks

Last year, my husband and I made our children 3 items each. I made my son a blanket and our daughter two dresses. The only things we bought for them was the tools to go in the tool box my husband made for our son and a small tin tea set to go in the basket I made for our daughter.
This year, like last year, we're asking people not to purchase cheap electronic toys for our children. We know our children still want them because their friends have them. But we also know that our children won't get sick from the items we make them. And we know that our children will use and appreciate what we give them, even if they sometimes covet the fancy plastic garbage that everyone else has. We know that what we give them stimulates their imaginations instead of rotting them.
I know it sounds bad, but we opened up the toys that came from our in-laws last year to see what they were. About half of them wound up being donated to the church or to children in the neighborhood.
Honestly, I think if everyone actually stood up and said that we don't want that crap anymore that something would happen. But no one will because they're still too busy keeping up with the Joneses.
Me and mine, we take pride in the fact that we are a no TV, very few technogadet family.
