A handful of retailers have offered veterans a discount to honor their service. Remember to bring a valid military ID or other proof of service to get these deals!

Veterans and their immediate family members get 10% off at Lowe's through Nov. 11, with some caveats.

The Home Depot offers a very similar deal, but it extends through Nov. 12.

At Sam's Clubs, disabled vets can get a free Hugo folding cane on Nov. 11, 2009. Supplies are limited and you do not have to be a member to get a free cane.

Dollar General stores are offering a 10% discount for all veterans, active duty military, National Guard and Reserve, and their immediate families. If you don't see a coupon in the store, ask an employee if they have extras.

Get 20% off any one transaction at Build-A-Bear Workshop from Nov. 11-15.

Plus ... Amazon has a free MP3 download that includes Taps, the Star Spangled Banner, and 11 other songs.

For more deals listed by state, check out Military Avenue. They found retailers that are giving away free wedding dresses, plastic surgery, and more!
