More than just Veteran's Day free meals offered

The list of Veteran's Day freebies extends far past a few free meals. Dozens of museums and national parks are offering free admission to those who have served. And the deals don't stop there!

All national parks, forests, reserves and monuments are free to military families on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The deal is for entrance fees only and is valid at national forests and public recreation lands managed by the Department of Interior's National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation as well as the Department of Agriculture's U.S. Forest Service. LOCAL DEALS ACROSS THE COUNTRY:

In Fairfax, VA, the NRA is sponsoring a free shoot and meal for a limited number of veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 from 6-9 p.m.

In Buena Park, Calif., veterans and active duty military personnel get into Knott's Berry Farm free Nov. 1-26, 2009.

In Chesapeake, Va., Natural Elements Spa & Salon will provide FREE services to military veterans on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 for both active duty and retired military from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Veterans interested in FREE services of Elemential Facial, Body Bliss Massage, and Hydrofying Hair must call Natural Elements Spa & Salon for their appointment, (757) 436-1141.
