eBay is known for bargains, but few reach the magnitude of savings enjoyed by Colette Palin and Lee Clark. Thanks to a winning bid on eBay, the British couple was married in sumptuous style at a beautiful English country hotel, all for $81, a savings of more than $2,000.

The 62-room Buckatree Hotel in Telford, Shropshire, on the western coast sits in a forest glade on the bank of a lake nestled into the foot of the local hill landmark, the Wrekin.

According to Mailonline, after receiving a last-minute wedding cancellation, the hotel decided to put the wedding package up for auction. Included were a three-course meal for 35, an evening buffet for 50, a champagne reception, table decorations, a toastmaster, and a room for the bride and groom.

Rooms in the three-star hotel cost around 50 pounds, or $80 a night, while it's fully inclusive wedding package normally starts at £29.50 per person, or $47. For 50 people, this would normally have totaled $2,350, rather than the $81 the Clarks paid. The average British wedding costs around £15,000.

The bride also bagged her gown at half price, and her grandmother provided the wedding cake.

Now, that's a bargain.
