Portland, Ore. mayor headed for foreclosure?
Filed under: Debt, Home, Real Estate
Ahh, Mayor Sam Adams. We Portlanders so want to love you, with your yellow bike helmet and your openly gay self-ness. You reflect all that is Portland, bike-geeky and weird, weird, weird.Lately, however, you reflect us a little too well. Like one of those magnifying mirrors that lets you see your pores and your pimples and your worry lines in horrifying scale. First there was the teen sex scandal, in which you probably didn't have sex with a teenager (he was 18 before y'all hooked up), but you definitely lied, and made us wince at the headlines the morning of Obama's inauguration. That was kind of icky.
Then you got in a fender-bender in your enormous GMC pickup (which was subsequently declared totaled by your insurance company, leaving you car-less and free to pledge not to drive for a month -- thanks for being green, Mr. Mayor!).But seriously, how did you get to be five months behind on your mortgage? And now your default notice is all over the state's foreclosure website. Your mortgage, at only $959.81, is less than mine; you bought your house at a bargain for $130,000 in 2003 (nice work, but). It's clear you haven't paid a dime of your $118,144 annual salary toward your mortgage since the big sex scandal broke, and you started paying for substantial legal fees. But couldn't you have prioritized just a touch better? It's clear you're setting the example for us: live raucously. Lose big. Cover your behind. And forget about the little stuff, the mortgage payments, to look both ways before proceeding across an intersection, until your name is being called out at an auction on the steps of the Multnomah County Courthouse.

Well,
I think it's safe to say the story has one item completely incorrect....
Sam sure as hell didn't cover "his behind".
Sam's a homosexual pedophile of the same vein as Michael Jackson, but where Jackson escaped by having the money to pay people off, Sam uses his partisan connections to protect him.
Birds of a feather flock together, and Oregon Democrats are depraved bunch for sure. Plus they all know the dirt on each other. The unsaid presumption is that if they don't stand up for each other, when their individual scandal surfaces, nobody will be there to cover for them. So cooperate and conspire, they do.
Look at Portland's history:
Mayor then Governor Goldschmidt was a pedophile, boinking the 14-year old daughter of one of his staffers. The local news rag, "Oregonian" even covered for him.
Wonder who on the newspaper staff has a dark, dirty, disgusting, depraved story they don't want people to find out about???
When Goldschmidt was on his rendezvous, it was then-trooper Steve Giusto who drove him to the 14-year-old's house.
Trooper Giusto then became the universally hated-by-his-men, Sherriff of Multnomah County until he resigned in disgrace last year.
Oh, and while Goldschmidt was committing statutory rape while supposedly "protected" by Sworn Officer, Trooper Giusto, the feisty future sherriff was actually off servicing Goldschmidt's wife. He's married to her now, though she's on the prowl now that he's reduced to guarding porta-potties.
Even current Oregon Governor Ted Kugoloski knew Goldschmidt was into little girls, but tried to appoint him to the State Higher Education Commission anyway. Goldschmidt had previously used his special perverted knowledge of fellow democrat "movers and shakers" to get Sleepy Ted into the Governor's office.
Because Goldschmidt's favors always come with strings attached like a liberal democrat equivalent of "Skull and Bones", it's certain Sleepy Ted has something extremely nasty and perverted in his past he told Neil about, but doesn't want known. Wonder why Ted didn't slam Neil when the pedophilia scandal came to the surface?
Rumors have it that it isn't just "Dirty Old Men" in Oregon, as the current Secretary Of State, Kate Brown, also may have a thing for young ones. Girls in her case.
Guess she looks to Hilary Clinton as a role model in every sense of the word.
And this is just a few of those the average Oregonian knows about.
Sam belongs in jail with several hundred of his cronies. That's what it will take to start fixing this corrupt state.
Feel free to prove otherwise, lefties.

He is a politician so we know he lies. He must not be that good. Most politicians figure out a way to be well off on their salary that doesn't match their life style. If he was good he would have had a lobbiest paying his mortgage payment.

Enough is enough. Sam I love your beer but you have shown that you are incapable of running Portland. Taken one by one anyone could make these same mistakes. Sam people want to ,know that their leaders are in control of things and it seems that from day one you have dropped the ball. Sam you have embaressed the City of Portland and now it is time for you to go. I voted for you once . But no more.

I didn't see any way that he could have bought that house in 2003 for $130,000. So I clicked thru the house pictures and sure enough:
The picture is of a house belonging to Chris Tucker. He is trying to sell it for $3.8 million.

The fact that he is a homosexual has alot to do with the story. It tells about his moral standards. Fortunately for him he is a Democrat, so he will get to keep his house.

Alex,
Did you miss the comments about Goldschmidt? Sam Adams' sexual bent matters not at all in his story. What matters is his willingness to abuse his power in a sexual forum. His was NOT an equal relationship. And using the restroom in city hall? This is a guy we want to have power?

And he purchased this house for $130,000 a few years ago in the middle of the biggest boom in real estate in history. He wants us to believe this was on the up and up, not likely. It seems he is getting exactly what he deserves. I hope he loses the house and someone who shows more responsibility gets it.

That house for $130,000.00 in Portland? Can anyone say, sweetheart deal? What, was it gutted by a fire or something? Do the toilets work? A monthly payment of less than a grand a month? It sounds to me like the corruption started a while ago.

Shame on Walletpop. Once again, the picture associated with the article and it's caption are misleading. Why make people think the home in the picture belongs to the Mayor, by mentioning him in the caption? Several people have commented on their assumption that this is the house in question. I dare say a ninth grade school paper would preserve story integrity better than wallet pop does.

Perfect representatives for both Portland and Oregon. Wasn't that one of the first cities that gave Obama his big public crowds?
Well it seems today the "Pres" did a little something special to ease both Portand's and the Oreogonadan's political/sexual suffering - Obama made it so the domestic partners of that state can now get federal benefits just like real married folk.
What these poor beleagured souls are suffering because of their orientation toward youth will eventually be seen as "normal" as any other citizen's sexual orientation and they won't have to pretend to prefer older folks any longer for fear of public ridicule. Thanks to actions like the Presidents and the continued preference for true tolerance by a majority of Portland's voting public.
May the folks of Portland continue to get every political outcome they ask for through their votes. After all who is more deserving than they?

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA
By Lou Pritchett
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.
You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

So how did this absurd letter wind up on a post about Sam Adams? I think any reasonable thinking person could counter virtually every point this guy is trying to make. Ridiculous.
