Bravo Jersey girl Teresa Giudice cashes in
Filed under: Shopping, Celebs & Money
If nothing else, here's what I've learned from the Real Housewives of Orange County, New York, Atlanta and, most recently, New Jersey. If the young actress' classic self-indulgent move is to hustle herself into the recording studio (see: Hayden Panettiere, Scarlett Johansson, Leighton Meester), the newly minted reality star's kneejerk reaction to fame is to launch a line. A line of what, you ask? Well, it could be anything.
No, seriously. Anything. Orange County's Lynne Curtain is currently
Ramona Singer of the show's Manhattan incarnation has a jewelry collection called "True Faith" and a skincare line called "Tru Renewal" (she can't seem to make up her mind about that "e" on the end of "true").
And now, with her first season just underway, Teresa Giudice, fake-bake queen of the New Jersey franchise, is launching a clothing line.
The collection is called TG Fabulicious and is more or less a random smattering of products: leopard-printed hair bows for little girls, black and pink baseball caps and American Apparel T-shirts emblazoned with what the People story calls Teresa's 'signature phrases,' which apparently include such unforgettable soundbytes as 'Love, love, love.'
I'll give Teresa this -- besides the silver charm bracelets, which are named after each of her three daughters and will run you $95 to $140 -- the items are reasonably priced.
And hey, this is New Jersey. I would rather be locked in a bunker and forced to listen to Scarlett Johansson cover Tom Waits for hours than wear this stuff, but -- with apologies to my family there -- some New Jersian is bound to love the baby tee that reads 'happy wife, happy life' (puzzlingly, it comes in youth sizes in addition to women's). And it's just $30.
In fact, since Lynne's cuffs are so overpriced and Ramona's marketing is such a disaster (besides the "e" debate, there's the fact that the labels on her potions look like they were drummed up in Printshop Deluxe), Teresa may turn out to be the savviest self-marketer of all.
I'll bet you a box of saltwater taffy that I spot at least a dozen of her creations on the Jersey Shore boardwalk this summer.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't "True Faith" and TG "Fabulicious" very close to "True Religion" and "Fabulosity", you know, those already established companies? How original. All I can say is, I hope Kimora doesn't find out, or someone is gonna find out just how Fabulicious she is......

LOL KELLY IN CALI... When I first read the story, that too crossed my mind, the names I mean and then I thought about Kimora. LOL If she's as big of a bitch as she's shown to be on the show, which I happen to believe she IS, heads are gonna roll!!! YIKES
It's gonna be a smack down and while I don't care for either them, I'm going to put my money on KIMORA!! I know Teresa thinks she's a bad azz, after all, she's a Jesery Girl, but IMO, she won't stand a chance against Kimora in a ring or on the street, which ever place they'd feel most comfortable that is... LOL
I was shocked to learn that Lynn is selling her bracelets for that kind of money!!! I love jewelry, espeically jewelry with gemstones and I have some great design ideas as well as some AMAZING stones so do you think I could get them to let me put my pieces together and sell them at their store/s?? Or do I have to be a "Housewife"? If that's the case, I fit the bill all the way around because I AM a Housewife. Only thing is... I'm just not the type of Housewife that has my own show. :( Darn, can't something great like this happen for "normal peeps"... EVER??? Guess not!! Oh well.... till I get reborn I guess eh?? LOL Peace to you and yours Kelly....

I'm so sick of these reality stars and celebrities starting there own clothing lines and other companies just off of their names. They have no "real" talent or training to do what they are doing. Lets give these businesses back to the ones that deserve it like the girls that go to Apparel Merchandising and Design that have some "real" training in this industry. To be honest with you ever since these so called celebrites have been designing clothing I believe the merchandise has gone down hill. I don't even buy many clothes these days beacause it is all crap!!! Speaking from a "Real housewife of Orange County that did study Apparel Marketing and Design in College!!

Who pays $95 for a tacky charm bracelet? Reasonably priced? In what world?
This Thing, this Teresa, is sickened by everything she comes into contact with.
I wonder what it is like to have your shit not stink.
Since her husband's enterprise is in the toilet, she must be living off her untalented, obnoxious 7 year old daughter. Or, her parents.
Does this broad serve any function or purpose?
