Home Depot's something for free? No way!

If you've ever been taken in by a deal that looks to good to be true -- and who hasn't -- this one's for you.

Seems The Home Depot was offering just that sort of deal last weekend. A free propane tank exchange was presented in an email offer to members of Home Depot's Garden Club. Turns out that tank was just thrown in for free with the purchase of a gas grill worth $200 or more. A bit of the bait and switch? Hard to say. But surely underscores the necessity of reading the fine print.

Mouse Print's mission is to do just that. A pretty great concept, but the site can hardly be expected to review everything. Read it yourself or risk coming home with a new grill when all you really wanted was a free tank of gas.
