Last Thursday night's grandiose opening of the W hotel in Hoboken was packed both with proud locals and curious, dolled-up New Yorkers who had ventured across the river. Recession, schmecession: dozens of paid models stood around looking hot, a lounge singer performed atop a piano, and a woman writhed and fawned within a giant martini glass. And when the celebs came out in force, you never know when you'll find yourself in an impromptu, impassioned economics lesson.

THANKYOU for being a dog lover shannon---i knew there was something about you i have always enjoyed beyond your acting!! im even more of a fan now than ever!! i hope the world see's this video because it shows how this economic crisis does affect everyone in the world at all the different classes of living---40 grand--is alot of money---and now that OBAMA has crunched down amazingly on the BANKS ---even if you put that all on your credit card/s--atleast you won't get RIPPED on interest rates etc--like many CC co's do to the masses! appreciate your REAGONOMICS--but even more APPRECIATE---today----and the way OBAMA must deal with this in the new COMPUTER ERA ---its a whole new world now with ---"S" corporations being the new rage now----and so many other scams ---good luck to you!! and keep healing thru this!! blessings-------a fan-------

Wow, I didn't know she was actually a cool person. The tabloids have always made her out to be a crazy b-tch.
One should definately take all of that with a grain of salt...comments like this one would never sell a magazine.
Shannon, that's $40,000 well spent. You have a good heart.
Also, it's nice to see someone who has the brains to figure out how smart Reaganomics really was. I guess it took an idiot like Obama to prove that.

lets see if u care about facts-
1. the DEMOCRATS were in power in congress for TWO YEARS beffore the last election. but being the type of phoneys they r they let you suffer during that time & now just so they could get their guy elected. remember the facts- they were in power and not sure if u eeven know this-----the president can not spend a penny. so why don't u place blame where it belongs the congress was controlled for 2 yrs b 4 last election why don't u blame them? oh--thats right they r liberal dems therefore no matter how corrupt or how much they lie-u will give them a pass
2. the repubblican administration tried to fix fannie mae for those 2 yrs & what a surprise! the congress called them racist----that worrd u all HIDE BEHIND rather then worrk hard & accept accountability....
