In the pursuit of bankruptcy reorganization, Ritz Camera will be closing 300 of its nationwide retail locations. Ritz Camera, the nation's largest specialized photographic and video equipment retailer, expects to see a reduction of nearly 50% of its national retail footprint due to this downsizing. Approximately 400 Ritz camera locations will remain in operation, as will the company's bright and vital online presence.

WSJ, Market Watch quoted Daniel Platt, senior vice president, capital markets, for Great American Group as stating: "...Those with any interest in cameras, photography and video-related products will find a tremendous selection of quality, brand-name merchandise at greatly reduced prices." Great American Group LLC, is part of the venture group which is overseeing Ritz Camera's inventory liquidation efforts.

The Ritz Camera official website provides a massive overview of today's most sought after digital imaging products. However, at the time of this writing, the company website did not provide any ready information about the store closings or which locations will be affected. It is suggested that consumers who wish to take advantage of Ritz Camera's liquidation sales should contact their nearest Ritz Camera location.

Ritz Camera also maintains a strong product offering at eBay.com.
