Five Super Savings: How to buy free toilet paper + more!
Welcome to Five Super Savings brought to you by Deal Seeking Mom. Each week I bring you the best grocery and health and beauty bargains around town.
Did you know that you can score free products just by using regular, everyday coupons? It's true, and here are five examples that you can use to try this strategy out.
1) $0.50 off Cottonelle toilet paper 4-packs – if you're lucky enough to live near a Kroger that doubles coupons, you can use this to purchase 4-packs of Cottonelle toilet paper for free. With five kids, we go through a lot of toilet paper, so this saves us a ton of money each month.
2) $1 off Renu MultiPlus Contact Solution – search out the travel size in the trial size section of stores (spotted at Target for sure), and you can use this coupon to stock on up free contact solution.
3) $1 off Johnson's Buddies products – Johnson's Buddies soaps are priced at around $0.99 in stores such at Walmart, Target, and others. Use these coupons to keep your kiddos clean for months on end without spending a dime.
4) $1 off Excedrin pain relief – use this on the 24-count Excedrin at Meijer priced at $0.99 this week, and you can "buy" free pain relief meds to fill your medicine cabinet. I see this price frequently at many stores, so don't despair if you don't have a Meijer location near you.
5) $5 off Glucerna cereal – this cereal is priced well under $5 at stores such a Walmart. Though it's targeted at diabetics, it's a good alternative to the many high-sugar cereals and worth a try with a free after coupon price tag.
The examples above are just a small snapshot of how you can use coupons to stretch your budget by getting free products. I focused on printable coupons because these are readily available to everyone, but if you start regularly saving your Sunday newspaper inserts, you could be saving even more!

I am so sad that our Kroger market no longer carries the Cottonelle. And, why is it what once something is no longer free, you use a lot more of it?

You might want to check the fine print on that contact solution coupon, they exclude trial sizes most of the time.

Our Kroger carries Cottonelle, but only in the big jumbo packs, not a 4 pack. Also, if I have multiple coupons for the same product, most of the Kroger cashiers will argue with me, stating that although I have an item for each coupon submitted, I can only use 1 coupon per purchase---meaning if I want to use 5 coupons for 5 bottles of Softsoap, I'll have to go through the checkout line 5 times.

If it were me I would do just that and make her feel like a complete idiot. The reason it is worded that way is so you can't use more than one coupon per item. If you have 10 coupons and buy 10 of that item they have to honer them.

I totally agree with you. They always ask you to either buy something you don't want or need. Also, some same free and then want to charge you shipping. How is that free?

I used to go to the local Sleaze bar, buy a beer and a DarSan sandwich, and walk out with the backup rolls of TP. I was living in my car (van) then, and had to use a bucket in the middle of the night. I'd just lost my job and my house and this was only temporary until I'd paid off all I owed on the furniture and appliances I had to let go with it. That was in 1975-6. This ain't the first time we've had problems, and they haven't killed us yet. This time, with all the government interference, they just might, though.

Pay for something that's"""FREE"""...
IT ain't "FREE" if you have to "BUY" it. Or, BUY something else to get IT...
And I'm out of work... Because I'm "over qualified"... I was replaced by a cheaper alternative... Who probably thinks that you BUY FREE stuff, also.....

First off i would not buy cottonelle it is too expensive and one roll wouldn't last a half a day in my house, we use Scotts it lasts longer. My daughter uses Cottonelle and is replacing the roll constantly. Also I have learned there is nothing free in this world.

Don't kid yourself for theres "Always" some sort of a "Catch" when it comes to getting anything for "FREE."
Whether it a specified day of the week, required amount you must spend first and sometimes hust the "weight" of said product.
"BUYER BEWARE !!"

Anybody who says nothing is ever free has obviously never been grocery shopping with me during triple coupon week. My pantry and freezer are filled with items I've gotten totally free or for just a few pennies.
