Instead of jobless, go topless...?

Looking for extra cash? Take your top off. More and more women are doing exactly that; dancing at Gentleman's Clubs, doing adult photos and appearing in films. With the economic downturn, it is a flexible and quick way to make some extra cash. The women choosing these options are from a variety of backgrounds -- from college students to downsized executives. And the pay can be worth it.
Dancers at the upscale Rick's Cabaret clubs in New York City and Miami can make $100,000 to $300,000 a year, in cash. Adults films can pay even more, especially for those who create a following. And adult entertainment remains profitable. Rick's Cabaret had $60 million in revenue in its 2008 fiscal year, up from $32 million the year before,
But here is the glitch -- once you do adult entertainment, it is forever a part of your portfolio. While it may not be an embarrassment at age 25, it could be a major issue when you are VP at a public company or if you decide to run for public office 20 years later. And you never know who is going to find out. The higher you get on the ladder of success, the more destructive a dancing or porn history can be. And you will have enemies who would love to share the information.
If you find yourself cash-strapped and considering making the move toward adult entertainment, stick with the dancing and not the movies. You can always downplay a dancing history, but you can never erase the films!

this is a effing disgrace. why the hell are we encouraging women to do such a demeaning thing. yeah you make money but youre losing your pride, esteem, and validity while doing so. id rather be homeless then take my top off (or anything for that matter) for a bunch of nasty horney men who are probably married and going there against their wives approval. shame on whoever wrote this. no wonder our country is so confused about sex.

I don't believe that topless dancing would be demeaning or bring down my self esteem, but I don't think I could do that as a mom and wife. I'd rather just dance for my hubby at home. If I was single and struggling to pay the bills I would dance topless. Times are very tough out there. If you are a woman and have decided to go down this path, go for it. The only thing I don't like is when women turns to prostitution and pornagraphy. There is no need for that. Dancing is a lot more classy. There are a lot of people out there (mostly old, ugly, fat, lonely women) who have problems with the other women who work at gentlemens clubs but I think people need to mind there own business. These women are just jealous...

if you are refering to me about the old, ugly, fat, lonely women you have me all wrong. i am a 5'10, 120 pound, 23 year old woman who has a wonderful boyfriend. so i am none of the above. i just belive that the divine did not give women attractive bodies to be lusted over. i have known numerous girls to work as strippers and they all hated it, making them seriously depressed. i think there is a hell of a lot better ways to make something of yourself than to stoop to the level of taking your clothes off. i think it is distgusting. and i do mind my own business. i refuse to support these women and so do a majority of my friends, men and women, who have sense. thats why young girls are getting pregnant. they think its cute to be sluts and whores. i was just making my own statement. this is, of course, a blog to be commented on.
