A bargain, if you're wealthy and an investor

I'm guessing that in the last few months, this has been a harder sell for the people who run this company, but it does seem like a good idea.

ZepInvest is a relatively new company that offers investors access to more than 80 investment publications, including some really big names like the Motley Fool's Stock Advisor, Morningstar and Walter S. Frank's MONEYLETTER.

The cost is $50 a month, which may sound outrageous, but maybe not for the well-heeled investor, especially since subscribing to some of the individual publications on the list can cost more than $800 a year.

The reason these individual newsletters go along with it is that they're compensated based on how frequently their content is read on ZepInvest.

This is one of those ideas I wish I had thought of. If you think about it, the CEO of this company--Michael Rodov--is just doing what Executive Book Summaries does (a company that will give you, for varying subscription prices, the soundbites and takeaway lessons of business books for busy executives, so you don't have to read them all). He's just doing it instead with investment newsletters.

But, no, instead of me thinking of this idea, I'm just writing about it--and how Rodov came up with the notion of this service when he was a junior at Boston University. He recently took leave to tend to his duties as CEO of what looks to be a company with a very promising future. He is 22 years old.

I'm going to go find some beer to cry in.
