Paris Hilton vows to save the economy

In the 1930s there was Roosevelt and in 2009, there's Paris Hilton. That's right: The heiress best known for reality television and jail has vowed to do all she can to save the economy. SFGate.com reports that Ms. Hilton told a British magazine that "It's really scary about the economy right now. So the way I'm playing my part in helping is doing a lot of shopping wherever I go."That's right! I have mixed feelings in writing about this because obviously Paris made that comment with the intent of getting some easy publicity.
But shopping to save the economy. It has a certain appeal to it, and it's actually the road to economic recovery that has been preached by politicians. That's what those stimulus checks were for.
But remember: Excess borrowing and excess consumption will not bring us out of a mess caused by excess borrowing and excess consumption. Unless you have as much money as Paris, stick to saving. Let someone else be the hero.

Selling it? From what I've heard she's been giving that away for years. Wonder if she does charity donations. like maybe see her raffled off at a church fundrasier. I'm just glad she's not my daughter.

Amazingly enough, Paris is right. The only thing which will save this economy is a massive infusion of eager spending cash at the bottom level of the economic food chain.

It's the right idea. We've been borrowing our way out of problems for nearly a century now, and its not working. A regeneration of cash is good for capatalism. Capitalism isn't the problem here. The problem has been trying to fuse capitalism with the socialism of government assitance and subsidies. We all don't benefit from increased taxation without control of spending. Paris is controling her spending by putting cash in areas of need of big recovery. We need the diversity of the market both gucci and kmart to balance our everyday lives. Look haters, you only resent the rich when you aren't. Yes, we should all save and sure she has a savings plan, but we can't ignore that she also gives to charity and also is stimulating higher priced markets.

If the Hilton family wants to help the economy they should fine Paris a million dollars for every stupid comment she makes,. This way not only would we be out of the economic mess that we're in, but at the rate she opens her mouth to exchange feet we would also have a surplus of money to fund education. Something she obviously lacks!

Call her what you want but Paris Hilton is truly smart. She understands the economy more so than our current president. She has been playing an act for her whole career that she is an idiot when shes actually smarter than most like I expected
