False hope! The Dolans advised "unemployed" to seek the help of The national chapter consumer credit counseling to help contact the creditors about the debt. Wrong....the CCC or consumer credit counseling agencies will only help if you have some type of income to repay the debt at a lower rate. I can imagine (wait, I don't have to imagine)that if you are unemployed you will have no money available to pay credit card debt and only able to afford rent, utilities and food. They should have looked closer at what the agency can and will do. No money, they have nothing to bargain with. They will not represent you without the ability of some kind of repayment plan.
