Dear Ken and Daria ,
I want to bypass my husband in my will (with his permission!) to leave everything to my three children. Can I write a will myself? Can I change it?

I have been married to my wife for 22 years and have two children. I was previously married and have two children with her and we all have a good respectfull relationship. My first wife is remarried and I want to know how to split up the assets in our will. I was thinking that my wife and I are 50/50 and she then gives her 50% to her two children and I split up my 50% with my 4 children. My ex and her husband (who has no children of his own) would then split their assets between their two children. I know that divorce makes everything more difficult, but what do you think of this plan?
