Sharper Image's 50% off sale

Sure, Sharper Image might not have any qualms about screwing over its customers who were unlucky enough to have gift cards [update: after outcry from customers, Sharper Image decided to resume the acceptance of gift cards on March 7] but if you're in the market for luxury-techy home products, it might be worth paying a visit.
The company's fire sale probably won't really get going until it hires a liquidator to conduct closeouts at the 96 locations it's looking to close.
But for now, you can browse through the products on the company's website that are discounted by 50% or more.
Of course, looking through some of this crap will remind you of why the company is in bankruptcy in the first place. Elvis Animatronic robot anyone? Anyone? Only $79.95! Regularly $299.95! Eh?
But this is a pretty cool gift for the baseball fan in your life: The Shaper Image Laserball: you throw it and it tells you how fast it went. Pretty good deal at $11.95.

This store was a total rip-off and I'm glad it's going under. They refused to honor sale price my Daughter paid for on-line for a Father's Day gift. They charged her credit card full price and absolutely refused to credit her the difference. For around $15 it wasn't worth taking them to Court. Good riddance.

I wouldn't care if they were giving the crap away. I bought some of their air purrifiers and within two years they stopped working. Out of five units in five years I have only one working still and thats barely. I for one am glad to see them go under. Let's hope they never come back with that over priced crap again!

I have a $1300 gift card, and those crooks at Sharper Image won't honor that either.
Sounds like FRAUD to me. How can our crooked government allow that?

Well here in San Diego California, they are honorring the gift cards only until April 1, 2008. I feel for you guys that are going thrrough this, I also had that problem about 6 months ago however I was able to contract the CEO. I have always been told if it sounds to good to be true then it is. I have to say this is one of those deals. I also believe people need to get off thier lazy butts and go out shoping at stores as we have in the past by doing that it just might help the economy and help the american people save thier jobs! All of us would like to be free of dept and be able to do more with our family and friends but, I just find this as a scam. SMILE!!!
