If you've been scammed or cheated by a company, we want to hear your story. WalletPop is going to be doing a regular feature on consumer scams and complaints, and we need your real life stories. What we want:
- Email us with your consumer horror story. Did you pay for a product or service you didn't receive? Were you scammed out of money? Did a company fail to honor a warranty or other promise?
- Include documentation with your complaint. If you have emails, advertisements, contracts, or other documents that back up your story, we want them.
- Who have you been corresponding with? We want their names and contact information so that we can give them a chance to respond.
- Gossip, second-hand information, untrue reports. We want your firsthand experience. We're not here to smear companies and their employees. We want to present facts.
- If your story is considered for publication, we may contact you with further questions about the situation. We want to provide as much information about the situation to the public, and may require some clarification from you to do so.
- We'll be looking into your claims. While we can't actually do a full investigation for you, if we come up with a solution or some information that may help you, we will pass it along.
- The company you're complaining about will be asked for a response. We'd like to give them an opportunity to give their side of the story and make things right.
- We can't look into each and every claim, nor can we publish every story. But we'd like you to give us a chance!

I like most have been scamed by a pretatory lender. The gentlemans name is Sky Davis he works the saly lake city ut areas, davis county ut ect... He was working under the business Delphinus. Which is no such business and has an accompliss named Brooke Jessop. What there speciality is to find people to extort money from. Sky Davis is a morgage broker his wife is Christina Davis Follett she goes by this name for real estate purposes as to protect her husband and get away with extorting money from people in real estate practices. Sky Davis was looking for someone with good credit this happened 6/12/06 to sell his house to get an over appraised value to allow with extra funds to fix and resell the house. House purchased $218,000.00 financed $235,000.00. He's made the paperwork out with a $5000.00 prepayment penalty ( 3 years) which he adds after paperwork has been done. By sending paperwork in the mail week after closing making it look like you forgot to sign something. I'm probably not making any sense but I do have all my paperwork and I would say he extorted $40,000.00 or more from me. Also was scamming with partner Brooke Jessop to have her on the title of the house with me, and I sure there plan was to eventually take the house back weather in foreclosure or by his accomplis and make more money off me. Needless to say I did sell the house this past September and am deeply in the hole because of it. This story caused me to loose my self esteem, almost my dignity, and trust. I saw tis oppurtunity for an investment in my and my daughters future while others were looking at it in a most crimanting manor. My neighbors told me they used to get mail for Sky Davis at there addresses. He has a past I'm sure. I have all my documentation. Sky Davis wrote a personal check for the amount of $17000.00 ect.. this was the difference between the $235,000.00 and $218,000.00 for what I bought the house for and what he had it appraised for. My story does continue it is quit painful. I'm sure you have heard enough of them. Your welcome to call for more information.

A few months ago,I saw an ad on tv from CIGARREST-they advertised a 30 day free trial to help you to quit smoking. I ordered the 30 day free trial, only to get an additional 60 days in additioin to my 30 days. I called them and was told not to worry,I would not be charged anything, but when I got me Discover bill, they had bcharged me $87 for each of the extra 30 days-a total of $174.00. I notified Discovercard and told them of my problem, and they said not to pay the bill until I heard from them. about 60 days later Discover sent me a bill for $174.00 Cigarrest had sent 90 tablets, some gum,and a lot of paper to read--I had even sent this stuff back . I had to pay, because I guess Discovercard could do nothing. But let everyone know--NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM CIGARREST. Yes,I was scammed

The Roomstore scammed me but I got my money back. Still wish I had a couch that wasn't cheap and damaged, I guess thats what I get for shopping at The Roomstore.
We went to the Roomstore on a whim one day and bought a leather sofa and chair. The salesman pushed a 5 year warranty, we had just got a new puppy so we asked does this cover if the dog accidentally rips the leather? He said yes. I should have gotten that one in writing.
2 weeks later our couch is delivered and we get the warranty information. You really have to read every detail in that warranty. It is void if you don't fill out the paper work within 30 days of delivery. The warranty is void if you don't file the claim within 5 days of the incident. They also don't cover pet damage.
Within 3 weeks of having the furniture I notice a tear in the seat. My wife called the Roomstore and they asked if we had a pet and she said yes. They asked if the pet could have caused the damage and she said it's possible but we didn't see what happened. Our pet is crated when were not at home, and we put a blanket on the couch when Murphy is on the couch.
They had us call the warranty company and I turned it in. They sent out a technician and she tooks some pictures tooks some notes, and asked if we had a pet. She left, and another week goes by. We get a letter from the warranty group that they do not cover that type of leather. I called them back and ended up getting my money back on the warranty but my couch is still messed up due to bad leather. I would think that it should be covered in the 1 year warranty of the store but they don't seem to care.
